At Les Jardins des Arts we feel we have something unique. The calm tranquil ambience is certainly conducive to the Art of relaxation – however if you are artistically inclined we also offer Art tuition in all media, watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, inks – just about anything you can think of.
Tuition is given by Ray Shuell, resident Artist and qualified Art Teacher with over 30 years experience.  Tuition is informal and friendly and offered on a weekly, daily or half daily basis to allow you to explore your artistic talent whilst other members of your party pursue their own interests or simply enjoy the surroundings.
Full weeks tuition can be booked at the same time as booking your holiday, single or half days however can be booked at the time of your arrival or throughout your stay.  All materials are included in the price – so no need to bring anything with you – it is also a unique opportunity to explore other media if you wish.  Who knows, there could be a budding Picasso in you just waiting to emerge!  For absolute beginners or the more advanced, we guarantee you’ll have something memorable to take home with you.

Ray Shuell, professionally qualified and with over 30 years of working as an artist and teacher, says, “ I believe anyone can be taught how to paint. To be a good painter, you just need a few tips and to learn a few tricks and you’re off. Beyond that… just keep practising.

It may be that you have never painted before and just want to give it a try, or that you've had some experience and would like to learn some more of those illusive tricks and techniques, either way, you're guaranteed to improve.
